Send every purchase to Meta from WordPress (Conversions API)
Ad blockers and iPhones hide many purchases from the Meta pixel. The Conversions API sends each paid order to Meta from a server as well, so Meta learns from more buyers. The GrowViking plugin does it two ways: free with your own Meta key, or with no key through GrowViking as part of the Tracking plan.
How to do it
- 1
In WordPress, open GrowViking and then the Meta Conversions API tab.
- 2
No key (Tracking plan): press Connect Facebook, say yes to managing your ads, pick your pixel (the one picked for you is usually right) and press Turn on Conversions API.
- 3
Own key (free): press Other way: paste a Meta key. In Meta Events Manager open your pixel, then Settings, and press Generate access token. Paste it with the pixel id and tick Send paid orders to Meta.
- 4
Keep only one sender: if Facebook for WooCommerce also sends purchases, switch its Conversions API off, or Meta may count orders twice.
- 5
Afterwards, Settings shows which pixel is connected and how many paid orders reached Meta each day.
Sending email and phone along (scrambled) helps Meta find more buyers. Tick it only if your privacy policy says so.
